Manual: Create your own VR app

Congratulations with your Smart2VR account!
With this account, you create your own VR app and publish your Virtual Reality experience by smartphone, tablet and web. Furthermore, you can easily personalize your VR app.
On the left, you will find the navigation menu of this manual with different subjects and subtopics.

Login to your account

Let’s start!

1. Login with the account information (E-mail address and password) you have received from us by email. When you are logged in you will see the ‘Your VR apps’ screen. Here is an overview of your VR apps with the following information:

VR app icon
VR app name
Number of objects in the VR app
Status of the creation and publication of your VR app for iOS (Apple) and Android.

2. Click on open project of the VR app you want to edit. The ‘VR App information’ screen will open.

Personalize the look of your VR app

You can personalize your VR app easily and quickly at ‘VR App information’. Change the colors, add your logo and upload a welcome screen. This way you create the VR app in your corporate identity. You can find the different options below.

Give your VR app a name
Your VR app needs a name. You can choose your company name, the name of a project or the name of your VR experience.

1. Go to VR App information (VR Free account) (Paid subscriptions)
If at another screen; go to the menu (three horizontal stripes) at the top left corner and click on ‘VR App’
2. Enter the name of your VR app at App name
3. You cannot change the app name after creating the VR app
4. Click on Save Data

Please note: The max. number of characters is 30. We recommend to give your app name not more than 11 characters because then the full name is displayed on the home screen of your smartphone or tablet.

Add Keywords for the stores
Keywords make your VR app easy to find in the stores when you publish your VR app. Use keywords that answer the question: What kind of keywords would people use to find my VR app?

1. Go to VR App information (VR Free account) (Paid subscriptions)
If at another screen; go to the menu (three horizontal stripes) at the top left corner and click on ‘VR App’
2. Enter the keywords for your VR app at App Keywords
3. You cannot change the app keywords after creating the app
4. Click on Save Data

Please note: Use up to 100 characters and separate keywords with a comma (space not necessary). Use every keyword just once and do not use the app name of the VR app.

Give your VR app a description in the stores
You can add a description to your VR app when publishing it in the stores. When people see your VR app in the Google Play (Android) store or iOS (Apple) store, they can read what your VR experience is all about and what it offers. This should trigger them to download and install your VR app.

1. Go to VR App information (VR Free account) (Paid subscriptions)
If at another screen; go to the menu (three horizontal stripes) at the top left corner and click on ‘VR App’
2. Enter the description for your VR app at App Description
3. You cannot change the app keywords after creating the app
4. Click on Save Data

Change the colors of your VR app
You can edit the colors of the VR app to match the color scheme of your corporate identity.

1. Go to VR App information (VR Free account) (Paid subscriptions)
If at another screen; go to the menu (three horizontal stripes) at the top left corner and click on ‘VR App’
2. Choose the item of which you want to change the color

Menu color: The menu color is the color of the menu bar. The default color setting is blue (color code: 4680FF)
Background color: The background color is the color in the home screen of your VR app. The default color setting is white (color code: FFFFFF)
Font color: This will change the color of the text in the VR app menu bar, the menu and the contact page. The default color setting is white (color code: FFFFFF)

3. Enter the color in HEX RGB format without # or use the color picker by clicking on the entry bar
4. Click on Save Data

Please note: Changes are immediately visible in your VR app. Changes can be made before and after creation of the app.

Change your password
You can change the password of your account for security reasons or when the current password is just not suitable.

1.Go to Profile settings (VR Free account) (Paid subscription)
If at another screen; go to the avatar (your name with picture-icon) at the top right corner, click on it and click on ‘My profile’
2. Enter your current password at Current password
3. Enter your new password at New password
4. Enter your new password again at Repeat new password
5. Click on Change Password

Please note: The password is case-sensitive.

Forgot your password?

1. Go to Password reset (VR Free account) (Paid subscription)
2. Enter your registered Smart2VR email address
3. Click on Request New Password
4. Your new password has been sent to you by email

Add your contact information in the VR app

You can add contact information to personalize your VR app. Your VR app users can contact your company.

1. Go to Contact Data (VR Free account) (Paid subscriptions)
If at another screen; go the the menu (three horizontal stripes) at the top left corner and click on ‘Contact Data’
2. Enter your contact details like your name, company name, phone numbers, email address etc.
3. Furthermore, you can enter your social media pages like Facebook, Twitter and your website. Just copy and paste the URL.
4. Click on Save data
5. In the VR app you can find the entered contact information when clicking on contact in the VR app menu.

Add your VR content

Your VR content or VR experience consists of 360 images and videos. Before you can upload your VR content into the VR app you need to create an object. 

Create an object
An object is like a folder. For example, you can create an object for every VR experience, project or case. This creates a clear overview in the home screen of your VR app.

1. Go to Your objects (VR Free account) (Paid subscriptions)
If at another screen; go to the menu (three horizontal stripes) at the top left corner and click on ‘Objects’
2. Click on New Object at the top right corner of the screen
3. Give your object a description
4. Upload a nice-looking image (not 360) by dragging and dropping your file in the upload screen or click on the upload screen, search the file and open it
5. Click on Save Data

Please note: You can remove an object by clicking on the garbage bin at the object information screen.

 

Once the object is created and selected, you can upload your VR content. You can upload as many 360 images and videos into one object (depending on the amount of your subscription).

Upload your VR content
Your VR content or VR experience consists of 360 images and videos. You can upload as many 360 images and videos into one object (depending on the amount of your subscription).

1. Go to Your VR Content (VR Free account) (Paid subscriptions)

2. Click on New VR Item on the top right corner of the screen
3. Click on 360 image if you want to upload a VR image or click on 360 video if you want to upload a VR video
4. The selected item will be highlighted in blue
5. Upload your 360 image or video by dragging and dropping your file in the upload screen or click on the upload screen, search the file and open it
6. Wait until the progress bar is full (blue) and Saved successfully appears
7. As a check, the uploaded content will appear in the emulator (example of a smartphone)
4. Enter the Description of your VR experience
8. Click on Save Data

Please note: You will find the specifications of the 360 images and videos at the ?’s (question marks) in the CMS platform.
You can remove VR content by clicking on the garbage bin at the VR content information screen.

Edit your VR content

Smart2VR has a bunch of relevant features to create an even more immersive VR experience. You can find the different features below.

Add a description to your VR content
Your VR content needs a title. This gives an explanation on what VR experience can be expected. The description is displayed in the VR app.

1. Go to Your VR Content (VR Free account) (Paid subscriptions)

2. Select the VR content
3. Enter the title of your VR content at Description
4. Click on Save Data

Please note: enter object description in max 100 characters. When no description is given, the VR content gets the title of the file.

Give your VR video a nice poster image (only 360 videos)
When you upload a VR video it gets a default poster image at the VR content overview in the VR app. You can upload your own poster image to override this (for example a teaser image).

1. Go to Your VR Content (VR Free account) (Paid subscriptions)

2. Select the VR video
3. Click on Poster image (360 video only). This will be highlighted in blue
4. Drag and drop your file in the upload screen or click on the upload screen, search the file and open it
5. Wait until the progress bar is full (blue) and Saved successfully appears
6. As a check, the uploaded poster image will appear in the emulator (example of a smartphone)
7. Click on Save Data

Please note: You will find the specifications of the poster image at the ? (question mark) in the CMS platform.

Add audio to your VR image (only 360 images)
You can give your 360 images audio. Sound gives another dimension and enhances your VR experience.

1. Go to Your VR Content (VR Free account) (Paid subscriptions)

2. Select the VR image
3. Click on MP3 audio (360 img only). This will be highlighted in blue
4. Drag and drop your file in the upload screen or click on the upload screen, search the file and open it
5. Wait until the progress bar is full (blue) and Saved successfully appears
6. As a check, an audio player will appear at Audio
7. Click on Save Data

Please note: Upload a MP3 audio track. The max. size of the audiofile is 10 MB and mimimal length is 12 seconds. This audio track is played and loops when viewing the VR image in the VR app. Upload only fragments that are free of copyright. Otherwise Smart2VR will remove your app.

Add 3D audio for an ultimate VR video experience (only 360 videos)
Sound creates another dimension to your VR content. Add 3D audio create an even more immersive VR experience.

1. Go to Your VR Content (VR Free account) (Paid subscriptions)

2. Select the VR video
3. Click on Surround audio (360 video only). This will be highlighted in blue
4. Drag and drop your file in the upload screen or click on the upload screen, search the file and open it
5. Wait until the progress bar is full (blue) and Saved successfully appears
6. As a check, a headphone icon will appear at 3D Audio
7. Click on Save Data

Please note: The 3D surround audio file should be in Facebook360 format (.TBE)

Add subtitles to your 360 video (only 360 video)
You can add subtitles to your VR video so it can be understood in a particular language.

1. Go to Your VR Content (VR Free account) (Paid subscriptions)

2. Select the VR video
3. Click on Subtitles (360 video only). This will be highlighted in blue
4. Drag and drop your file in the upload screen or click on the upload screen, search the file and open it
5. Wait until the progress bar is full (blue) and Saved successfully appears
6. As a check, a SRT-icon will appear at Video subtitles
7. Click on Save Data

Please note: Your video subtitle file should be a .srt format and a maximum size of 10MB

Auto proceed when the video has finished (only 360 videos)
Auto proceed will automatically play the next VR content in the object, after the selected 360 video has finished. In case of one VR video in one object, this video will loop continuously.

2. Select the VR video
3. A checkbox will appear next to Auto proceed when you have uploaded or selected a 360 video
4. Click on this box, a check mark will appear
5. Click on Save Data

Specify the order of your VR content
When you have uploaded more than one VR content in an object, you can adjust the order of your VR content in the VR app. This is useful if you want an important VR image or video at the top or your VR experience has to start with a particular VR image or video.

2. Drag and drop the selected VR content
3. Click on Save Data

Do you have a lot of VR content and the drag&drop system is therefore not suitable?

1. Go to Your VR Content (VR Free account) (Paid subscriptions)

2. Select the VR content
3. Enter a number for the VR content at Order number. You can enter any number you like. The lowest number is listed at the top
4. Click on Save Data

View your VR experience in WEB VR (both 360 images and 360 videos)
When you have uploaded your VR experience you can view it in WEB VR. Here you can watch all the 360 images and videos you have uploaded in one object. Furthermore, you can copy the URL and sent it to everyone you want.

1. Select the object of which you want to view the VR content
2. Go to Your VR Content (VR Free account) (Paid subscriptions)

3. Click on the button WEBVR View under the emulator (example of a smartphone)
4. Move the mouse from right to left or use the navigation icons at the bottom to watch the VR images and/or videos

Edit your objects

You can add information to your object and use some features to enhance its applicability. First you need to select an existing object or create a new one. You can find the different options below.

Give your object an attractive object image
You want your VR app users to view your amazing VR content. A good object image attracts the eye of the VR app user and ensures that he will open the object and watch your VR experience.

1. Go to Your objects (VR Free account) (Paid subscriptions)
If at another screen; go to the menu (three horizontal stripes) at the top left corner and click on ‘Objects’
2. Select an object

Click on Object image (not 360). This will be highlighted in blue
4. Drag and drop your file in the upload screen or click on the upload screen, search the file and open it
5. Wait until the progress bar is full (blue) and Saved successfully appears
7. As a check, the uploaded object image will appear in the emulator (example of a smartphone)
6. Click on Save Data

Please note: The object image is NOT a 360 image. It is a photo or image in landscape layout. The max. size of the object image is 55 MB. You will find more specifications of the object image at the ? (question mark) in the CMS platform.

Give your object a description
Your object needs a cool title. This gives an explanation on what VR experience can be expected in that object and trigger your VR app users to watch it. The object description is shown in the VR app.

1. Go to Your objects (VR Free account) (Paid subscriptions)
If at another screen; go to the menu (three horizontal stripes) at the top left corner and click on ‘Objects’
2. Select an object
3. Enter the title of your object at Description
4.
Click on Save Data

Please note: enter object description in max 100 characters.

Add a price to your object
Do you want to mention a price of a VR case or your VR experience (for example the cost of a house)? Enter the price and it will be visible in the VR app under the title (description).

If at another screen; go to the menu (three horizontal stripes) at the top left corner and click on ‘Objects’
2. Select an object
3. Enter the price for your object at Price
4. Click on Save Data

Add a website URL to your object
When there is a website about the VR experience in the object or you want the VR app user to find more information, add the website’s URL. The link is a clickable WWW symbol on the object in your VR app.

If at another screen; go to the menu (three horizontal stripes) at the top left corner and click on ‘Objects’
2. Select an object
3. Enter or copy/paste the URL of the website at URL link
4. Click on Save Data

Hide the object with an Unlock code
Do you have an object with a VR experience that should not be visible for everyone? Use the unlock code to show this object only to selected users.

1. Go to Your objects (VR Free account) (Paid subscriptions)
If at another screen; go to the menu (three horizontal stripes) at the top left corner and click on ‘Objects’
2. Select an object
3. Enter an unlock code for the object at Unlock code
4. Click on Save Data
5. Users have to enter the password in the search bar to view this object (magnifying glass in the main menu of the VR app)

Please note: Use a minimum of 4 characters and a maximum of 10 characters. Leave EMPTY if you want to show this object to all users of your app.

Add object audio for more experience
You can add audio to your object that is played while viewing all the VR images (not video) within that object. This could create a more immersive VR experience.

1. Go to Your objects (VR Free account) (Paid subscriptions)
If at another screen; go to the menu (three horizontal stripes) at the top left corner and click on ‘Objects’
2. Select an object
3. Click on Object audio (.mp3). This will be highlighted in blue
4. Drag and drop your file in the upload screen or click on the upload screen, search the file and open it
5. Wait until the progress bar is full (blue) and Saved successfully appears
6. As a check, an audio player will appear at Object Audio
7. Click on Save Data


Please note: The max. size of the audiofile is 10 MB. If audio is uploaded to a VR image, that audio track will overrule the object audio. Upload only fragments that are free of copyright. Otherwise Smart2VR will remove your app.

Give your object a number
It is possible to give your object a number. This number can be seen as a unique identifier for internal use. This is useful when you work with many objects. This numbering is not visible in the VR app.

2. Select an object
3. Enter the number for your object at Object number
4. Click on Save Data

Specify the order of your objects
When you have created more than one object in your VR app, you can adjust the order of your VR objects. This is useful if you want an important object at the top or you have a new object that you want on a particular spot in the VR app.

2. Drag and drop the selected object
3. Click on Save Data

Do you have many objects and the drag&drop system is therefore not suitable?

If at another screen; go to the menu (three horizontal stripes) at the top left corner and click on ‘Objects’
2. Select an object
3. Enter a number for the object at Order number. You can enter any number you like. The lowest number is listed at the top
4. Click on Save Data

Publish your VR Content (VR Free account)

You can publish your VR content with an Android VR Free app, WEB VR and Facebook. You need to upgrade to a paid subscription if you also want to publish your VR content with an Apple (iOS) VR app and Gear VR app.


Create Android VR Free app
Before you can create your Android VR Free app you need to give it an app name.

1. Go to VR App information (VR Free account)
If at another screen; go to the menu (three horizontal stripes) at the top left corner and click on ‘VR App’
2. Click on App Build Status
3. Click on Create Android App
4. Read the information and click on OK to create the VR app
5. Creation takes around 5 to 10 minutes
6. When ready a link appears in the App Build Status screen
7. Enter or copy/paste this link in the internet browser of your Android smartphone
8. The Android VR Free app is being downloaded and installed
9. Open your VR app and enjoy your VR experience

Please note: You cannot create an Apple (iOS) VR app and/or Gear VR app. Furthermore publication in the stores is not possible. Upgrade to a paid subscription.

Embed your VR content in your website with WEB VR
When you upload your VR content, two links will appear at Embed codes in Your VR Content. You can use these codes to embed your VR content on your website.

Website: This code enables you to embed the selected VR content into your website. It will display the entire 360 image or video.
Hyperlink: You use this code when you only want to place a text link to the selected VR content.

2. Select the VR content you want to embed
3. Go to Embed codes
4. Place your mouse cursor on top of the code you want to use
5. The code will appear in the pop-up screen
6. Copy the code and paste it into your website or ask your webdeveloper to do this.

Facebook share
When you upload a 360 image, also the Facebook link will appear at the Embed codes in Your VR Content. You can use this to share your VR content at your Facebook page.

2. Select the VR content you want to share
3. Go to Embed codes
4. Place your mouse cursor on top of the Facebook code
5. The code will appear in the pop-up screen
6. Copy the code
7. Go to Facebook and open your page
8. Create a new post and click on the camera icon (where you can upload an image)
9. Paste the code at the entry box of File name and click on Open
10. Your 360 image will appear in your post

Create a Virtual Tour with the hotspot designer

With the hotspotdesigner you can create virtual tours or/and add additional information in your VR content. This makes your VR experience even more interactive and easy to navigate. There are four types of hotspots:

Relocate the focus point
When you open your VR content in the VR app, this content is aligned to face this point.

In the VR app settings you can choose whether to use the focus point or the north point. Default the focus point will be used.

2. Select the VR content you want to edit the focus point
3. Click on the button Hotspot Designer under the emulator (example of a smartphone)
4. The focus point is shown as a transparent circle with an eye icon
5. Click on it and a small circle with arrows appears
6. Drag it from left to right to set it, or use the slider at the right
7. When set, click somewhere in the VR content
8. Click Save and Apply at the left menu

Set a north point
This will align the indicated north point in the VR content with the magnetic north. When you open the VR content in the VR app the image automatically rotates to the north direction by using the compass in your smartphone. This new feature is very suitable for on-site viewing.

In the VR app settings you can choose whether to use the focus point or the north point. Default the focus point will be used.

2. Select the VR content you want to add a north point
3. Click on the button Hotspot Designer under the emulator (example of a smartphone)
4. Click on the focus point (the transparent circle with an eye icon which is shown)
5. Click on Add Nort Point at the right menu
6. A transparent circle with a compass icon appears in the VR content
7. Drag it from left to right to set it, or use the slider at the right
8. You can delete the north point by clicking on Delete North Point at the right menu
9. When the North Point is set, click somewhere in the VR content
10. Click Save and Apply at the left menu

Show information with a hotspot
This is a hotspot for text. You can use it to give a short description/give more information or/and to add a website link.

1. Go to Your VR Content (VR Free account) (Paid subscriptions)

2. Select the VR content you want to add an informational hotspot
3. Click on the button Hotspot Designer under the emulator (example of a smartphone)
4. Click and hold the mouse in the VR content and move to the point of interest
5. Click on the + button at the bottom of the screen. A circle with an i-icon appears
6. Move and scale the hotspot by using the small circles with arrows (four arrows circle = move, two arrow circle = scale). Click and hold these and drag it from left to right or from top to bottom.
7. Go to the Text Content entry box at the left menu and enter your description
8. Go to the URL entry box and enter a website’s URL if you want to link to a website
9. You can remove the hotspot by clicking on Remove this hotspot
10. When set, click on Save and Apply at the left menu to save your hotspot
11. Click on the + button if you want to create more hotspots

Create a VR tour with warping hotspots
This hotspot can be used to redirect to another VR image or video, to create a virtual tour and navigate through the VR experience in an object.

1. Go to Your VR Content (VR Free account) (Paid subscriptions)

2. Select the VR content you want to add a warping hotspot
3. Click on the button Hotspot Designer under the emulator (example of a smartphone)
4. Click and hold the mouse in the 360 content and move to the point of interest
5. Click on the + button at the bottom of the screen. A circle with an i-icon appears
6. Move and scale the hotspot by using the small circles with arrows (four arrows circle = move, two arrow circle = scale). Click and hold these and drag it from left to right or from top to bottom
7. Go to Hotspot Type in the right menu and click the checkbox in front of Warping
8. The hotspot is now een circle without the i-icon
9. Go to Warp Target in the right menu and select the object and VR content where you want to navigate to
10. You can remove the hotspot by clicking on Remove this hotspot
11. When set, click on Save and Apply at the left menu to save your hotspot
12. Click on the + button if you want to create more hotspots

Special Features

Smart2VR has some special features for paid subscriptions which can enhance the usage of your VR app. These features are Stereoscopic 3D, Push notifications and VR app analytics. Using a VR Free account and also want to use these features? Please upgrade to a paid subscription.

Add stereoscopic 3D for an even more immersive VR experience
With stereoscopic 3D you add depth to your VR content. For this you need VR content in a top/bottom projection farmat. The top half is for the left eye and the bottom half is for the right eye.

1. Go to Your VR Content (Paid subscriptions)

2. Click on 360 image if you want to upload a VR image or click on 360 video if you want to upload a VR video
3. The selected item will be highlighted in blue
4. Upload your amazing 360 image or video with stereoscopic effect by dragging and dropping your file in the upload screen or click on the upload screen, search the file and open it
5. Wait until the progress bar is full (blue) and Saved successfully appears
6. As a check, a 3D symbol will appear at Stereoscopic 3D
7. Click on Save Data

Please note: You will find the specifications of the 360 stereoscopic images and videos at the ?’s (question marks) in the CMS platform.

Push notifications
With the VR app push notifications, you can send notification messages to all users of your VR app. You can inform your users about new or updated VR content and experiences. It is an excellent way to trigger people to use your VR app more.

1. Go to Notifications (Paid subscriptions)
If at another screen; go the the menu (three horizontal stripes) at the top left corner and click on ‘Notifications’
2. Enter a title at Notification Title (max. 40 characters)
3. Enter your message at Notification Message (max. 1000 characters)
4. Click on Send Message Now
5. Your VR app users will get the notification on their smartphone

VR app analytics
With the VR app analytics in Smart2VR you can see the statistics of your VR app.

1. Go to Analytics (Paid subscriptions)
If at another screen; go to the menu (three horizontal stripes) at the top left corner and click on ‘Analytics’
2. Go to the date entry boxes at the top left of the screen
3. Click on the calendar pop-up icon (the calendar appears)
4. Choose your start and end date
5. Now you can see the number of installs of your VR app per day, week or month for iOS and Android
6. Scroll down and you will find more statistics for the chosen time period such as the downloads per country

CMS emulator controls

In the Smart2VR CMS platform there are some basic controls that makes the platform easy to use and more intuitive. These can be found and used in the emulator (example of a smartphone) in the Your VR Content and Your objects screens.

Select an object or VR content
You need to select an object or VR content before you can edit it. Create on object and upload your VR content if not done yet, than you can proceed.

1. Go to the emulator (example of a smartphone) in either Your objects or Your VR Content
2. Go to the image of the object or VR content that you want to select
3. Your mouse cursor is changing into a pointing hand
4. Click on it
5. Wait while your page gets refreshed
6. The selected object or content has a grey border

Drag and drop your objects and VR content
The drag and drop tool is very suitable to order your objects and VR content.

1. Go to the emulator (example of a smartphone) in either Your objects or Your VR Content
2. Click and hold the drag&drop button (six squares left of the object/content image)
2. Your mouse cursor is changing in a grabbing hand
3. The object/content image gets a light grey border
4. Drag your object/content to the desirable position while holding the mouse
5. Drop it by letting go the mouse
6. Wait while your page gets refreshed
7. The object or content is now in the desirable position

How to use the Virtual Reality app

You can publish and view your VR experience in your own VR app. This app has an easy and user friendly template which you can personalize with your own corporate identity.

Open the VR app and you will see the welcome screen. Then the main menu opens. Here you find:

Your objects: tap on it to see the VR content in an object
VR app menu: the three horizontal stripes at the top left corner
Magnifying Glass, top right corner: tap it and you can search objects or enter the unlock code
Circular arrow, top right corner: Tap it to refresh the VR app. New added objects and VR content, and the last edits will get visible

Viewing VR content

1.Tap an object

White arrow top left corner: Go back to the overview of objects
Circular arrow top right corner: Refresh the VR app
Download icon: download the selected VR content on your smartphone
Garbage bin: Delete the downloaded VR content of your smartphone

2. Tap the VR content that you want to watch
3. The VR content opens in VR-mode. Put your smartphone in a cardboard, look around and enjoy the VR experience

White arrow top left corner: Go back to the VR content overview
Tablet icon in center: Tap it to go to tablet-mode. Move your finger from left to right an up and down on the screen to take a look at the VR content or just move your smartphone around.
Carboard icon in center: Go back to VR-mode
Compass icon bottom right corner: Switch the giro off/on. When switched off, the view won’t move when you are moving your smartphone around. Only moving the finger on the screen works.

VR app menu and settings
The VR app settings can be found in the VR app menu. Tap the menu icon (three horizontal stripes at the top left corner). In the VR app menu you will find:

Home:
Go to the main menu with an overview of the objects
Create your own app: Go to the website of Smart2VR
Contact: 
Here you find the app developer information of Smart2VR. Upgrade to add your own contact information
Social media: You can find the links to your social media here. You can edit these at Contact Data.
Tutorial: Click on this and a walkthrough will appear as an overlay with a quick how-to guide.
Paid subscriptions: Here you find the contact information which you entered in Contact Data.
Smart2VR on Youtube: A link to the youtube channel of Smart2VR. Upgrade to delete this.

In the VR app menu you will also find the VR app settings. Tap on it and you can adjust the following settings:

Only download with wifi: Click on the checkbox and the VR content will only be downloaded when connected to wifi
Cardboard preset: Choose your type of VR glasses. Default is cardboard and in 90% of the cases this is the best option
VR video quality: Choose the quality of which the VR videos are viewed. Recommended is 1440p. The video quality is imposed on the capacity of your device
VR Video 3D sound: Click on the checkbox if you want to hear 3D sound when viewing VR video (only when 3D sound is available)
VR Video subtitle: Click on the checkbox if you want to view the subtitles when watching a VR video (only when subtitles are available)
VR menu always on: see navigate in VR-mode
Use North Point instead of: Click on the checkbox when you want to use the North Point instead of the focus point (only when north point is set)
Cancel Downloads: Click to cancel all current running downloads
Clear Cache: Clear all downloads of the VR app on your smartphone

Build a VR Free app in minutes

1. Create a free account
2. Login with the account information (E-mail address and password) you have received from us by email
3. Click on open project
4. Give your VR app a name

1. Go to VR App information (VR Free account)
If at another screen; go to the menu (three horizontal stripes) at the top left corner and click on ‘VR App’
2. Enter the name of your VR app at App name
3. You cannot change the app name after creating the VR app
4. Click on Save Data
5. You can also edit your VR app with colors, your logo, welcome screen and backgrounds

Please note: The max. number of characters is 30. We recommend to give your app not more than 11 characters because then the full name is displayed on the home screen of your smartphone or tablet.

5. Create an object

1. Go to Your objects (VR Free account)
If at another screen; go to the menu (three horizontal stripes) at the top left corner and click on ‘Objects’
2. Click on New Object at the top right corner of the screen
3. Give your object a description
4. Upload a nice-looking image (not 360) by dragging and dropping your file in the upload screen or click on the upload screen, search the file and open it
5. Click on Save Data

6. Upload your VR content

1. Go to Your VR Content (VR Free account)

2. Click on New VR Item on the top right corner of the screen
3. Click on 360 image if you want to upload a VR image or click on 360 video if you want to upload a VR video
4. The selected item will be highlighted in blue
5. Upload your 360 image or video by dragging and dropping your file in the upload screen or click on the upload screen, search the file and open it
6. Wait until the progress bar is full (blue) and Saved successfully appears
7. As a check, the uploaded content will appear in the emulator (example of a smartphone)
4. Enter the Description of your VR experience 
8. Click on Save Data

Please note: You will find the specifications of the 360 images and videos at the ?’s (question marks) in the CMS platform.

7. Create Android VR Free app

1. Go to VR App information (VR Free account)
If at another screen; go to the menu (three horizontal stripes) at the top left corner and click on ‘VR App’
2. Click on App Build Status
3. Click on Create Android App
4. Read the information and click on OK to create the VR app
5. Creation takes around 5 to 10 minutes
6. When ready a link appears in the App Build Status screen
7. Enter or copy/paste this link in the internet browser of your Android smartphone
8. The Android VR Free app is being downloaded and installed

Please note: You cannot create an Apple (iOS) VR app and/or Gear VR app. Furthermore publication in the stores is not possible. Upgrade to a paid subscription.

8. Open your VR app and enjoy your VR experience
